Yes, welcome to coda-nightmareland. I am having the same problem for months and it is as yet unresolved. After this happens, when you start (or restart) venus do you get "CHILD: mount system call failed. Killing parent."? You can search the archives for my name to see some of the issues I have had (there was one issue that was unrelated, though: cfs mkmount not working). IANAG but the symptom above is apparently caused when the volume cannot be located either because all servers are down or you are on a disconnected client that doesn't have any information cached about the volume. Post /vice/db/VRList and the output of volutil getvolumelist on both servers here and someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to help. -- JEREMY MALCOLM <[email protected]> http://malcolm.wattle.id.au Providing online networks of Australian lawyers (http://www.ilaw.com.au) and Linux experts (http://www.linuxconsultants.com.au) for instant help!
