Hi Patrick,

This is an acronym misunderstanding ... sftp in this case is part of rpc2 and 
is  a "side-effect file transport".    This sftp has nothing to do with the 
secure shell protocol you may be thinking about.   It will be in plain text 
until you authenticate to a coda server.   Then it will be weakly encrypted.  
The rcp2 protocol suite does not yet have strong encryption implemented.  It 
is on the todo list, but at a relatively low priority at the current time.
